Philanthropy

The role of catalytic donor capital is a fundamental key to seed and scale WaterCredit, foster cross-sector collaboration and prompt broader system change.  Grant funding is necessary initially to “build the pipes” (e.g., establish baseline linkages, undertake necessary cross-sector outreach, and fund early-stage software activities of partners) today, in order to tap into social and commercial capital to scale these market-oriented solutions tomorrow.  By supporting WaterCredit, a donor can simultaneously address multiple Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) related to water and sanitation access, poverty, education, health, empowerment of women and environmental sustainability.
